The Center's musical theater program incorporates
the three performance disciplines: dance, singing, and acting. All
classes are team-taught. It is ideal for students who wish an
overview or for beginning students to use before starting to more
specific study.
Musical Theater involves all students in work
on selected songs, dances, and acting. The goal is to
allow students the opportunity to experience various musical
styles while learning how to integrate the three basic elements.
Dress Code: Although
there is no specific dress code for these classes, students
should wear comfortable clothing that permits movement. Heavy
sneakers that restrict movement are not appropriate and dresses
and skirts are not good choices. Physical exercise and dance
movement are part of these classes so soft soled shoes should
be worn.
